Deposit and appointment policies
Policies
A $100-200 deposit is required to reserve your time slot, depending on the scope of the project. Deposits are applied to the total price of your tattoo on your final session.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable to other people or to other designs.
I can take deposits through Venmo @amy-muller, or Zelle at 510.432.2761. The name on my Zelle account is Pretty In Ink.
I can also take deposit in cash during your consult or to be arranged for drop off for me at Pretty In Ink: Alameda.
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please let me know 48 hours before your appointment or you forfeit your deposit and will be required to pay an additional one.
If you are sick on the day of your appointment, please do not come to your appointment and let me know you have to reschedule. You will not lose your deposit if you reschedule due to illness, minimum 2 hours before your appointment.
Please arrive on time. If you are running late, shoot me an email, or call the shop.
Deposits are good for up to 3 months and for no more than 2 reschedules.
One touch up session is included in your price, up to a year from your last session. If anything heals weird with your tattoo please let me know, I want to fix it for you! If you’re not sure if your heal out is normal, feel free to contact me and I’ll let you know if I think you could benefit from a touch up session.
About Our Spaces
We are a queer space, please do not assume someone’s pronouns in the shop, whether it be another client or an artist. Feel free to ask me if you’re unsure how to address someone, but using they/them is fine until you get a formal introduction. My pronouns are she/her.
Transportation
Pretty In Ink: Alameda:
If you are driving to the shop, I recommend parking in the movie theater parking lot on Oak st, cross street Central. The rates are cheaper than street parking, and you can pay for up to the whole day if you want. Street parking is up to two hours and free on Sundays. They ticket quite seriously in Alameda. I don’t mind if you need to run out to feed the meter every couple of hours if you find a spot right in front.
If you are taking public transit, the 51A stops right outside our shop. Closest BART station is Fruitvale.
First Tattoo?
I do my best to prevent ink from splashing on clothing, though it is always a possibility, so I recommend wearing something you would not mind possibly getting ink on.
Wear something comfortable where we can easily access the area to be tattooed. If you need recommendations for a specific body part, feel free to ask! I’ve done it all!
Please have something to eat before your tattoo. I recommend something substantial, with protein and carbs. Feel free to bring snacks with you. Protein bars, candy, and electrolyte drinks are all good choices.
You may take ibuprofen prior to your appointment if you are able to take ibuprofen. I personally take 800mg before I get tattooed to help with swelling and discomfort.
It helps to be properly hydrated and not hungover!
Please shower before your tattoo and wear clean clothes. We will be in very close proximity to eachother.
I almost always wear perfume, if you are scent sensitive please let me know and I will refrain on the day of your appointment. I love when my clients wear perfume as well, so don’t worry about me!
You are welcome to wear headphones if it helps you sit for your tattoo. I’m happy to chat with you or let you zone out. Feel free to let me know your preference but I always do a vibe check, so no worries. If there’s anything I can do to help you get through the session, let me know!
I look forward to working with you
